Role: Senior Associate Consultant SAP ABAP

Job Summary:

The Senior Associate Consultant – SAP ABAP is a mid-level role responsible for designing, developing, and supporting SAP technical solutions. The role requires hands-on experience in ABAP development, a good understanding of SAP modules, and the ability to work independently on assigned tasks. The consultant will collaborate with functional teams, contribute to project deliverables, and continuously enhance technical expertise.

Key Skills:

• Strong knowledge of SAP ABAP programming (Reports, Interfaces, Forms, Enhancements)

• 1- 3 years Hands-on experience with SAP modules and customization

• Understanding of Object-Oriented ABAP (OOABAP) concepts

• Familiarity with SDLC methodologies and development best practices

• Exposure to SAP HANA, CDS Views, or OData services (preferred)

• Basic knowledge of debugging, performance tuning, and optimization

• Understanding of integration techniques and data migration concepts

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills

• Good communication and stakeholder interaction skills

• SAP ABAP certification (preferred)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy SAP ABAP programs based on business requirements

• Work on enhancements, reports, interfaces, forms, and workflows

• Collaborate with functional consultants to understand and translate requirements into technical solutions

• Perform unit testing, debugging, and performance optimization of programs

• Ensure adherence to SAP development standards and best practices

• Support implementation, upgrade, and maintenance projects

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team

• Continuously upgrade skills in emerging SAP technologies and tools

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to communicate with others clearly and concisely.
• Understands business processes for focus areas or modules.
• Ability to do research and perform detailed tasks.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Understands business functionality related to SAP module/application as well as can identify and understand touch points between modules.
