Job description
About the job ELV BIM MODELER (AV-ICT SYSTEMS)
Key Responsibilities
Modeling
- Develop and maintain detailed Audio Visual (AV) BIM models in Autodesk Revit, following project specifications and BIM standards.
- Model AV systems, including LED displays, video screens, speakers, projectors, cameras, AV racks, control equipment, cable tray containment routing and associated devices.
- Model AV equipment back boxes, mounting plates, brackets, supports and ceiling-mounted devices.
- Develop and modify Revit families based on approved manufacturer data, equipment dimensions and technical submittals.
Shop Drawings
- Prepare AV shop drawings, including equipment layouts, containment layouts, sections, elevations, installation details and mounting arrangements.
- Review IFC drawings, specifications and approved material submittals to ensure accurate AV modeling.
- Incorporate Main Contractor and Consultant comments, and update models and shop drawings for resubmission.
Coordination
- Coordinate AV equipment locations, containment routes, cable pathways and installation interfaces with Architectural, Structural, MEP and ICT disciplines.
- Perform clash detection and resolve spatial conflicts using Autodesk Navisworks Manage.
- Verify equipment clearances, viewing requirements, accessibility and maintenance spaces.
Quality and Information Management
- Conduct model QA/QC checks for geometry, dimensions, parameters, naming conventions and drawing accuracy.
- Maintain AV model registers, drawing registers, coordination issue logs and progress updates.
- Follow the approved BIM Execution Plan (BEP), Employer's Information Requirements (EIR), CDE and ACC workflows, and project BIM standards.
Site Support and Handover
- Support site technical queries and installation coordination.
- Update as-built models and support asset information handover when required.
Qualifications and Technical Skills
Education and Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum 5 years of BIM modeling experience, preferably in AV, ELV or ICT systems in the GCC.
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AV shop drawing production.
- Working knowledge of Navisworks Manage, clash detection and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
- Good understanding of AV systems, cable containment, equipment installation and multidisciplinary BIM coordination.
Competencies
- Ability to meet submission deadlines while maintaining model accuracy and drawing quality.

- Equipment mounting and support details
- Clash detection updates, coordination reports and QA/QC records
- Revised shop drawings and models incorporating review comments
