The Role of Video Editor

SELF is seeking a Video Editor to transform raw footage into high-quality, engaging content for clients, primarily doctors, clinics, and professionals developing their personal brands. This full-time role involves editing both short-form Reels and long-form videos in Arabic, focusing on clear storytelling, strong pacing, and accurate subtitles. The Video Editor will collaborate with production, design, and account teams to ensure timely and on-brand delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit short-form Reels and long-form videos from raw footage through to final delivery.
• Structure videos with clear storytelling, strong hooks, and effective pacing.
• Add and synchronize accurate Arabic subtitles, and English subtitles when required.
• Apply color correction, audio cleanup, and sound design to achieve a polished final product.
• Create motion graphics, text animations, and transitions consistent with each client's visual identity.
• Adhere to content plans and deliver videos by agreed deadlines.
• Efficiently incorporate client and team feedback within specified revision rounds.
• Export and deliver videos in the correct formats for various platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Snapchat.
• Organize and archive project files according to SELF's naming system and Google Drive structure.
• Maintain updated task statuses on the team's project management system.
• Stay informed about social media trends and new editing styles.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in video editing.
• Proficiency in editing short-form and long-form video content.
• Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual aesthetics.
• Ability to work effectively with production, design, and account teams.
