Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor suppliers' and contractors' accounts related to projects
- Review contracts, payment certificates, and invoices to ensure they comply with agreements, purchase orders, and payment terms
- Reconcile supplier and contractor balances and perform the necessary accounting adjustments
- Monitor project costs, operating expenses, and petty cash transactions
- Review due payments, amounts paid, and outstanding balances for each project
- Record project-related journal entries and ensure the accuracy of financial documents
- Follow up on invoices and payments and coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and relevant departments
- Prepare periodic financial reports covering project costs, expenses, and financial obligations
- Monitor Value Added Tax (VAT) and electronic invoicing requirements in accordance with the regulations applicable in Saudi Arabia
- Perform periodic accounting reconciliations and month-end and year-end closing activities
- Maintain and organize financial records and supporting documents related to projects
- Coordinate with Finance and Operations departments to ensure data accuracy and compliance with accounting procedures
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Practical experience in accounting, preferably in project accounting or within contracting and operations companies
- Good knowledge of supplier and contractor accounts
- Experience reviewing contracts, payment certificates, and invoices and matching them against payments
- Ability to reconcile account balances and perform accounting adjustments
- Knowledge of project cost monitoring, operating expenses, and petty cash management
- Knowledge of VAT and electronic invoicing requirements in Saudi Arabia
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems; experience with Odoo is preferred
- Strong analytical and accounting skills, with excellent attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
