About the Role
Hala is seeking a Full-time Accountant to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is essential for supporting daily accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. The Accountant will contribute to maintaining compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
Role Overview
The Accountant will be responsible for a range of financial tasks, from preparing journal vouchers to assisting with monthly financial closing. The position requires an individual with 2-5 years of experience who can effectively manage financial documentation, support tax compliance, and perform reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and processed.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and record journal vouchers for various expenses, including payments, salaries, GOSI, utilities, and accrued expenses.
- Maintain VAT and WHT schedules, providing support for tax calculations, reconciliations, and submissions.
- Perform daily client cash-out and bank reconciliations, monitor pending transactions, and maintain accurate refund records.
- Support online payment processing, ensuring adherence to approval procedures and internal controls.
- Assist with the monthly financial closing process, including managing accruals, prepayments, provisions, and amortization.
- Prepare AR ageing reports, monitor outstanding balances, and support follow-up actions on overdue receivables.
- Analyze expense variances against budgets or prior periods and assist with OPEX/CAPEX classification.
- Maintain accurate accounting records, supporting documents, and customer query logs.
Experience and Qualifications
- A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in an accounting role.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate financial records and support daily accounting operations.
- Familiarity with tax compliance procedures, including VAT and WHT.
- Proficiency in performing bank and client reconciliations.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will work within a team environment, contributing to the financial integrity of Hala.
