About the Role
Amazon is seeking an Area Manager, Fulfillment Center Operations, to join its team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading a diverse team within an operational site, focusing on maintaining safety standards, process efficiency, and overall operational flow to meet customer demand.
Role Overview
The Area Manager will gain experience in leading large teams and managing complex operations within a global business environment. The position requires a hands-on approach to drive productivity, address operational challenges, and ensure seamless execution of tasks. This role operates on shifts and is based at one of Amazon's operational sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote a culture of safety and wellbeing within the team and across the site.
- Analyze and implement corrective actions to ensure consistent high levels of quality and productivity, meeting business objectives across all shifts.
- Support and lead a team, managing administrative tasks while fostering a strong team culture.
- Analyze performance metrics and suggest process improvements to optimize work and enhance customer service.
- Collaborate with other managers to standardize shift processes and operational procedures.
- Prioritize routine team management and daily operational tasks, alongside individual escalations, process improvement initiatives, and wide-scale operational contingency planning.
- Work with colleagues and external partners to ensure customer demands and targets are met, including analyzing data and discussing technical improvements with engineers.
Required Experience
- Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in operations management or a similar leadership role.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position based at an Amazon operational site in Jeddah, Makkah. The role involves working shifts and collaborating with various internal teams and external partners to achieve operational goals.
