Job description
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using *SolidWorks*.
- Design sheet metal components, steel structures, and fabricated assemblies.
- Prepare detailed 2D manufacturing drawings and 3D models.
- Generate DXF files for laser cutting, flat patterns, and CNC bending drawings.
- Design diesel generator canopies, chassis, fuel tanks, and other metal enclosures.
- Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure accurate manufacturing and assembly.
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, material efficiency, and cost reduction.
Skills
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in *SolidWorks*, particularly Sheet Metal, Weldments, and Assembly.
- Practical experience in sheet metal fabrication and manufacturing processes.
- Good knowledge of laser cutting, CNC bending, welding, and metal forming.
- Ability to produce accurate, production-ready engineering drawings.
- Understanding of manufacturing tolerances, material selection, and fabrication techniques.
- Previous experience designing generator canopies, industrial equipment, or metal enclosures is a strong advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work closely with production teams
