About the Role
The Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Group Of Companies in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Sales & Marketing Analyst for Kanoo Shipping. This full-time position is based in Dammam and requires 3-5 years of experience. The role is designed to support the commercial growth and market development of Kanoo Shipping in the Eastern Province.
Role Purpose and Contribution
This position contributes to sustainable growth by providing Kanoo Shipping management with reliable market intelligence and qualified commercial opportunities across the Eastern Province. This is achieved through systematic market research, customer and competitor analysis, sales-lead development, commercial intelligence, reporting, and the identification of new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct continuous market research across the Eastern Province shipping, maritime, ports, petrochemical, energy, industrial, and logistics sectors.
- Monitor developments affecting vessel and cargo activity through Dammam, Ras Tanura/Juaymah, Jubail, Ras Al Khair, and Khafji, consistent with Kanoo Shipping's operational coverage.
- Identify potential principals, shipowners, operators, charterers, traders, cargo owners, EPC contractors, freight/logistics companies, and other prospective customers relevant to Kanoo Shipping's service portfolio.
- Monitor market trends, upcoming projects, vessel movements, cargo programs, tenders, and business opportunities.
- Maintain market intelligence on competitors, service offerings, and significant developments affecting the regional shipping and marine-services sector.
- Prepare periodic market-intelligence reports highlighting new prospects, sales leads, market developments, upcoming projects, vessel/cargo opportunities, customer activity, and business risks and opportunities.
Required Experience and Focus Areas
The role requires experience in analyzing and reporting on various aspects of the shipping and maritime industry, including:
- Tanker calls and associated agency opportunities.
- Dry-bulk vessel and cargo movements.
- Tramp vessel enquiries and liner representation.
- Ro-Ro, charterer, and trader activity.
- Potential agency appointments.
- Break bulk, general cargo, and heavy-lift/project cargo.
- Offshore support vessels & offshore projects.
- Marine construction activity, offshore crew logistics, and offshore marine supply requirements.
- Offshore project cargo associated with offshore work and associated husbandry requirements.
- Industrial project movements, related vessel-agency, and marine-support requirements.
