About the Role: Waiter / Waitress

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Waiter / Waitress to join their team in Tabuk, serving guests in both Umluj and Tabuk. This full-time position is responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service in line with InterContinental Hotels & Resorts standards. The role focuses on creating a memorable dining experience through attentive, personalized, and professional service, requiring strong product knowledge and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional food and beverage service during breakfast, lunch, dinner, buffet, and à la carte operations.
• Prepare assigned tables, service stations, and restaurant areas to meet hotel standards before each service.
• Welcome guests warmly and professionally.
• Present menus and provide accurate information on food, beverages, daily specials, and promotions.
• Accurately take and enter food and beverage orders into the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Serve food and beverages according to established service standards and sequence.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of menu items, ingredients, beverages, allergens, and dietary requirements.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests to ensure satisfaction.
• Check guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience and address concerns.
• Recognize VIP guests, returning guests, and special occasions, providing personalized attention.
• Recommend menu items and promotions, applying upselling techniques to maximize revenue.
• Coordinate with the Culinary team for accurate order preparation and communicate special requests.
• Present bills accurately and handle guest payments according to hotel procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, restaurant areas, service stations, and operating equipment.
• Replenish supplies, cutlery, glassware, crockery, and other service materials.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and report unresolved issues to the Head Waiter or Restaurant Supervisor.
• Collaborate with colleagues and other departments for smooth restaurant operations.
• Adhere to all food safety, HACCP, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Maintain personal grooming, hygiene, and uniform standards as per IHG policies.
• Attend daily briefings, departmental meetings, training sessions, and menu tastings.
• Report any maintenance, operational, or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Comply with hotel policies, procedures, brand standards, and health and safety regulations.
• Perform other reasonable duties assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of experience in a similar role.
• Demonstrated commitment to maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction.
• Ability to maintain hygiene and operational excellence.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, with responsibilities covering locations including Umluj. The role operates within the hospitality sector, specifically within IHG Hotels & Resorts, focusing on providing high-quality service in a dynamic restaurant environment.
