Job Description

We are recruiting an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor for an established and growing business in Ireland.

The successful candidate will manage the commercial and financial aspects of projects, including cost control, valuations, variations, tendering, contract administration and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage monthly valuations and payment applications.

• Identify, price, submit and negotiate variations and additional works.

• Monitor project costs, budgets, margins and profitability.

• Prepare cost reports, financial forecasts and commercial reviews.

• Review drawings, specifications, programmes and contract documents.

• Prepare tenders, quotations and project cost estimates.

• Manage subcontractor and supplier quotations and accounts.

• Negotiate and agree final accounts with clients and contractors.

• Work closely with project managers and site teams to ensure commercial performance.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Quantity Surveying.

• Degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.

• Strong knowledge of cost management, valuations, variations, measurement and final accounts.

• Experience in Civil Engineering, Earthworks, Groundworks or Infrastructure projects is highly desirable.

• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.

• Experience in tender preparation and pricing civil engineering or earthworks packages.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple commercial responsibilities.

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
