Business Services Manager (Finance Operations)

About the Role
King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) is seeking a Business Services Manager (Finance Operations). This full-time role reports directly to the Director, NTI Operations, and is responsible for leading and managing business services functions across NTI. The position ensures that procurement, contracting, financial operations, and revenue-related processes are executed efficiently, in compliance with KAUST policies, and aligned with institutional governance standards. Role Purpose and Context
The Business Services Manager serves as an operational enabler across NTI units. The primary purpose is to ensure structured processes, strong financial controls, and consistent service delivery, thereby supporting NTI’s strategic initiatives and programs. This role is critical in maintaining operational efficiency and compliance within the organization's financial and procurement frameworks. Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee the end-to-end procurement process across NTI, ensuring alignment with KAUST procurement policies.
Manage the full Procure-to-Pay lifecycle, including requisitions, purchase orders, contract coordination, invoice validation, and follow-up payment with central finance.
Ensure appropriate documentation, approvals, and delegation of authority compliance for all procurement transactions.
Provide guidance to NTI units on procurement procedures, contract structuring, and vendor engagement.
Monitor procurement cycle timelines and identify opportunities for process optimization.
Coordinate with central Procurement, Finance, and Legal teams to facilitate efficient execution of strategic and high-value procurements.
Required Experience
Candidates for this position should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in business services, finance operations, or procurement management. The role requires a strong understanding of financial controls, procurement policies, and operational efficiency within an institutional setting. Work Type
