HSEW Inspector Theme Park Experience

About the Role
SNC-Lavalin Fayez Engineering is seeking an HSEW Inspector- Theme Park Experience to monitor and enforce health and safety standards across project sites and operational areas. This full-time role is crucial for ensuring a safe working environment by conducting regular inspections, identifying hazards, and verifying compliance with regulatory and client requirements. The inspector will also support the implementation of safety initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct routine site inspections to identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and potential hazards.
Ensure compliance with company health and safety policies, project requirements, and applicable regulations.
Monitor day-to-day site activities to verify adherence to approved safety procedures and work methods.
Inspect work areas, equipment, tools, and machinery to ensure safe operation and compliance.
Verify proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all site personnel.
Participate in risk assessments and support the implementation of control measures.
Monitor high-risk activities such as working at height, lifting operations, excavation, confined space entry, and hot work.
Assist in investigating accidents, incidents, near misses, and safety observations.
Maintain records of inspections, observations, corrective actions, and safety reports.
Conduct safety inductions and support toolbox talks and safety awareness campaigns.
Ensure permit-to-work systems are implemented and followed correctly.
Follow up on corrective and preventive actions to ensure timely closure.
Report health and safety concerns and non-conformances to site management.
Support emergency response drills and emergency preparedness activities.
Coordinate with supervisors, contractors, and workers to promote safe working practices.
Monitor housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
Assist in preparing health and safety statistics, reports, and compliance documentation.

Qualifications and Experience
Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in health and safety inspection, particularly within a theme park environment. A strong understanding of health and safety standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices is essential for this role.
