Database Management Specialist V

Job Summary

Works under minimal supervision.
Performs system-wide/cross-functional team management.
Provides direction for projects.
Plans and manages implementation and integration of new technologies.
Project size is of high complexity.
Viewed as a subject matter expert within the organization.
Acts as a mentor to less senior IT staff.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Information Systems Engineering or a related discipline.
• Masters degree is advantageous but not essential.
• Professional certifications are desirable such as:
  • Oracle Database Certification
  • Microsoft SQL Server Certification
  • PMP (Project Management Professional)
  • PMIS-related certifications
• Typically 12 years of experience in database administration PMIS implementation or project controls systems.
• Proven experience supporting large-scale infrastructure rail transportation construction or engineering projects.
