Job Description Summary
The Field Engineer will be responsible for onsite installation of motors and variable speed drives systems and equipment and ongoing preventive maintenance repair and calibration after installation. And provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation operation calibration repair and maintenance at customers sites.Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Perform on-site installation Commissioning refurbishment Startup Maintenance Trouble Shooting & Upgrading of Medium Voltage synchronous and induction motors generators excitation & AVR systems. With knowledge on Medium Voltage Variable speed drives systems
Respond to requests for emergency repairs and services.
Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation operation calibration repair and maintenance at customers sites.
Writing technical reports ordering materials securing quotations preparing job status reports reports to customers time sheets and expense sheets on a complete timely and thorough basis.
Provide leadership and technical direction to skilled labor performing work on customer sites.
Maintain strong safety mindset to assure the executed work reflects the technical requirements within GE safety standards.
Prepare timely and accurate technical reports for customer records and a reference for future outages
Required Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university
Fresh graduates up to 2 years of experience in field services in electrical field.
Applicants must have the legal right to work in KSA without company sponsorship or time restrictions.
Ability and willingness to travel approximately 60% of the time as required
Desired Characteristics
Ability and willingness to possess and maintain a valid drivers license
Ability and willingness to work remotely; as required
Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision
