QAQC Engineer (Substations / OHTL)

About the Role
Trading and Development Partnership is seeking a QAQC Engineer with a background in Civil and Electrical Engineering to join their power infrastructure team in the Eastern region of Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires direct experience in quality control for High Voltage (HV) Substations or Overhead Transmission Lines (OHTL) projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing and maintaining the project quality management system to ensure all construction works meet client and international standards. Role Purpose and Context
The QAQC Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and compliance of power sector projects. This position involves implementing robust quality control measures across various project phases, focusing on both civil and electrical aspects of high-voltage infrastructure. The role requires a strong understanding of industry standards and the ability to manage quality documentation and issue resolution effectively. Key Responsibilities

Conduct regular site inspections based on discipline (Civil foundation/structures or Electrical equipment/stringing).
Implement and track project-specific Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and Material Inspection Requests (MIR).
Maintain precise quality records, daily logs, and QA/QC punch lists for client review.
Identify onsite non-conformances, issue internal Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and follow up on corrective actions.
Coordinate with third-party testing laboratories (civil) or witness site acceptance tests (electrical).
Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
8 to 12 years of experience in QA/QC engineering within the power sector.
Proven field experience specifically working on HV Substations or Overhead Transmission Line (OHTL) projects.
Ability to read and interpret discipline-specific engineering drawings (SLDs, wiring diagrams, or structural plans).
Strong technical reporting skills and fluent in written and spoken English.
