Warehouse Supervisor

Job description

The jobs in this level are responsible for supervising the complete warehouse operations and the personnel to ensure that that products are safely stored, inventory level is maintained and personnel are trained and developed in the warehousing activities.

Responsibilities:

• Follows all relevant Warehousing & Logistics instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

• Follows the day-to-day operations related to own jobs in the Warehousing & Logistics to ensure continuity of work.

Either

• Negotiates contracts and develops strong business relationships with key logistics partners.

• Monitors logistics flows to ensure the most efficient transportation procedures and methods are used.

• Liaises with external suppliers, procurement, warehouses and stock users to understand and predict material usage patterns.

• Controls the movement of materials between different locations to optimize service levels and minimize corporate stock holding and cost.

Qualifications:

Education

• Diploma in Administration
OR
• Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management

Experience

• 2-4 years of experience for diploma holders
OR
• 0-2 years of related experience for bachelor degree holders
