ROLE PURPOSE

The aim is to state the overall significance of the job from the organization’s perspective.

To lead business development activities for Identity & Biometrics products by identifying growth opportunities, shaping strategic partnerships, developing business cases, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to support service expansion and value realization.

Key Accountabilities

Key Activities

1. Business Development Strategy

• Develop business development plans for Identity & Biometrics products in alignment with sector priorities and market opportunities.

• Translate strategic directions into clear initiatives, targets, and action plans that support product growth and sustainability.

2. Opportunity Identification

• Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and service expansion areas based on market needs and stakeholder priorities.

• Assess opportunities against strategic fit, expected value, feasibility, and readiness for further evaluation.

3. Business Case Development

• Prepare business cases covering value proposition, scope, expected benefits, cost considerations, risks, and implementation requirements.

• Present business cases and recommendations to relevant stakeholders to support informed decision-making.

4. Partnership Development

• Engage with potential partners and stakeholders to explore collaboration models that support Identity & Biometrics objectives.

• Coordinate partnership discussions and align proposed models with business, legal, technical, and operational requirements.

5. Commercial & Value Analysis

• Analyze financial and non-financial value drivers to support prioritization of business development opportunities.

• Evaluate revenue potential, operational impact, and strategic benefits to ensure proposed initiatives are viable and value-driven.

6. Product Expansion Support

• Support expansion of existing products and services by coordinating with product, technical, and operational teams.

• Identify dependencies, requirements, and readiness factors needed to move initiatives from concept to execution.

7. Stakeholder Alignment

• Lead coordination with internal stakeholders to align on objectives, roles, timelines, and expected outcomes for business development initiatives.

• Facilitate discussions to resolve open items and maintain alignment between business owners and delivery teams.

8. Performance Tracking & Reporting

• Define and track key performance indicators related to business development initiatives, partnerships, and growth opportunities.

• Prepare executive updates, progress reports, and decision papers highlighting status, achievements, risks, and next steps.

9. Policies, Processes & Procedures

• Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

• Comply with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

10. Information Security

• Comply with all relevant information security practices and standards to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Academic and professional qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Professional certifications in business development, strategy, partnerships, or product management are preferred.

Years and Nature of Experience

• 7-9 years of relevant experience in business development, partnerships, product growth, or strategic initiatives.

• Experience in digital products, government services, or identity and biometrics solutions is preferred.
