Job Summary

The Draftsman is responsible for preparing, modifying, and maintaining accurate technical drawings based on engineering specifications, project requirements, and site conditions. The role involves working closely with engineers, project teams, and other departments to ensure drawings meet project standards and requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
• Develop engineering, construction, fabrication, and installation drawings as required.
• Review drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure accuracy.
• Modify drawings based on engineering comments and project requirements.
• Prepare shop drawings, as-built drawings, layouts, sections, elevations, and details.
• Coordinate with engineers and other disciplines to resolve drawing-related issues.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, standards, and applicable codes.
• Maintain proper drawing records, revisions, and document control.
• Assist with quantity take-offs and preparation of material-related drawings when required.
• Review site measurements and incorporate actual site conditions into drawings.
• Support the engineering team with drawing updates and other technical documentation.

Skills

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in construction, engineering, or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of Revit, SolidWorks, or other relevant software is an advantage.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Good knowledge of drawing standards and revision control.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
