Site Electrical Engineer

Job description

• Responsible for managing the construction of power and lighting systems, lightning protection and grounding measures, generators, ATS systems, busbars, cable trays, ducts, lighting, and fire protection electrical installations. Supervise the quality, progress, and HSE aspects of subcontractors.

• Review Shop Drawings, material submissions, construction plans, and ITP documents. Participate in drawing reviews, coordinate issues related to civil engineering and electrical pipeline conflicts, and carry out inspections of embedded components, sleeves, and grounding systems.

• In charge of cable installation, equipment wiring, power testing, and system testing. Organize WIR inspections, completion acceptance, and handover procedures. Provide coordination with consulting experts and SEC technical teams.

• Prepare weekly electrical reports, meeting minutes, and NCRs. Record project quantities, submit material plans, and handle on-site changes. Follow relevant standards such as SBC, IEC, SEC, and NFPA, and ensure compliance with HSE safety management and construction regulations.

Skills

1. Bachelor’s degree or above in fields such as Electrical Engineering and Automation, Building Electrical Engineering, etc.
2. At least 5 years of experience in managing electrical construction projects within the building MEP sector; familiar with the entire process of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations in residential, commercial, and public buildings.
3. Familiar with Saudi electrical standards and policies such as SBC, IEC, and SEC; capable of reading English drawings and technical specifications.
4. Experienced in low-voltage power distribution systems, emergency generators, ATS systems, grounding methods, fire alarm systems, and BMS weak current systems; knowledgeable about key aspects of on-site construction involving high- and low-voltage cabinets, busways, cables, and conduits.
5. Proficient in using software such as AutoCAD, BIM, and Office applications; fluent in English speaking, listening, reading, and writing; able to prepare English-based construction plans, reports, and emails independently, and communicate professionally with clients, supervisors, and subcontractors.
