Senior Civil Engineer

Job Summary

Under general supervision performs routine duties.
Displays knowledge and abilities to evaluate select and apply standard engineering techniques procedures and criteria to meet basic engineering and construction specifications.
Displays applications of sound professional judgment on details of work.
Independently performs walk-downs and inspections of installed commodities to assure conformance with specifications and design.
Performs quantity surveys for tracking and reporting.
May provide technical direction to drafters technicians and surveyors.

Qualifications :

Minimum 10 years of professional civil engineering experience with at least 5 years in a senior or lead capacity on water and wastewater infrastructure projects

Bachelors degree in civil engineering or related field from an accredited institution

Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent professional registration in the GCC region or internationally recognized equivalent

Demonstrated expertise in water and wastewater infrastructure design construction and rehabilitation including treatment facilities distribution systems collection networks and hydraulic infrastructure

Proven experience evaluating selecting and applying standard engineering techniques procedures and criteria specific to water engineering in accordance with GCC Building Code water infrastructure standards and international best practices

Strong background in water project construction inspections quality assurance and conformance verification on water and wastewater facilities

Experience providing technical direction and mentoring to engineering technicians drafters and surveyors on water infrastructure initiatives

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are preferred

Valid drivers license and willingness to conduct site walk-downs and field inspections on water and wastewater facilities
