POSITION OVERVIEW

A reputable construction company based in Riyadh is looking for an experienced Accountant – Payables Section to join their Finance Department. The role is responsible for managing all accounts payable functions and ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor payments in accordance with company policies and Saudi regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process and manage all accounts payable transactions including vendor invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
• Review and verify invoices, purchase orders, and supporting documents prior to payment.
• Prepare payment runs within agreed terms and company approval authorities.
• Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Coordinate three-way matching of purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices.
• Monitor payables aging and ensure outstanding balances are settled on time.
• Ensure compliance with VAT regulations and ZATCA requirements.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
• Coordinate with auditors and internal departments as required.

Skills

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
• 6 to 8 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.
• Construction and contracting industry experience is mandatory.
• Proficiency in SAP, Oracle, or Odoo ERP systems is required.
• Good knowledge of VAT regulations and ZATCA compliance in Saudi Arabia.
• Strong Excel skills for reporting and data analysis.
• English is mandatory; Arabic is a plus.
