Engineering Technician

About the Role
St. Regis Hotels & Resorts is seeking an Engineering Technician to join their team in the Red Sea region. This full-time position involves responding to and resolving guest repair requests, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and facilities. The role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities

Respond to and address guest repair requests promptly.
Communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues effectively.
Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machines for operational integrity.
Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment as needed.
Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies.
Record information for unfinished calls before shift changes.

Operational Duties

Carry necessary equipment such as tools and radios.
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Navigate stairs, service ramps, and ladders as required.
Perform tasks involving reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Execute other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Safety and Compliance

Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
Complete all required safety training and certifications.
Properly store flammable materials according to guidelines.

Guest Service and Professional Conduct

Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
Anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, support the team in achieving common goals, and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
Communicate using clear and professional language.

Qualifications
Candidates should possess 2-5 years of experience in a similar engineering or maintenance technician role. A strong understanding of preventative maintenance practices and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve repair issues are essential for this position.
