About the Role
St. Regis Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Supervisor Grounds to join the team in the Red Sea region. This full-time role involves overseeing grounds maintenance operations, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The Supervisor Grounds will also support management in employee development and training initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct inventory of tools, equipment, and materials.
Order plants, new and replacement equipment, or supplies within the established budget.
Record water usage from pumps and wells.
Perform minor repairs to structures manually or using power tools.
Mix, prepare, and apply chemical solutions for pest, weed, or plant disease control, maintaining records of applications.
Install, maintain, and operate irrigation systems.
Operate tractors, trucks, or utility vehicles to transport equipment and supplies.
Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees, serving as a role model.
Operational Duties and Standards
Comply with all company safety policies and procedures; report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications.
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
Maintain the privacy of company proprietary information and protect company assets.
Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect, working collaboratively to achieve common goals.
Meet quality assurance expectations and standards.
Handle snow removal and ice maintenance, if applicable.
Listen and respond appropriately to other employees' problems, speaking with others using clear and professional language.
Perform other reasonable job duties requested by supervisors.
Physical Requirements
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than 50 pounds (** kg) without assistance.
Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or for the entire work shift.
Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects.
Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of various sizes and weights, requiring fine motor skills and good hand-eye coordination.
Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting at the waist, crawling, and stooping.
Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and stairs, and climb and descend ladders.
Continuously use manual dexterity and motor skills, frequently employing both hands and fine motor functions.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
Related Work Experience: At least 3 years of related work experience.
Supervisory Experience: At least 3 years of supervisory experience.
License or Certification: Valid driver's license.
