About the Role
St. Regis Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Polisher/Painter to join their team in the Red Sea region. This full-time position involves responding to and resolving guest repair requests, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring the upkeep of tools and equipment. The role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to and address guest repair requests promptly.
- Communicate effectively with guests and customers to resolve maintenance issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for proper function.
- Carry necessary equipment, such as tools and radios.
- Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment.
- Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
- Record information for unfinished calls before shift changes.
Operational Compliance and Safety
- Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
- Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
- Complete required safety training and certifications.
- Properly store flammable materials according to guidelines.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
Guest and Team Interaction
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests in accordance with company standards.
- Anticipate and address guests’ service needs, including assisting individuals with disabilities.
- Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.
- Support the team in achieving common goals and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
- Communicate using clear and professional language.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Capability to move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders.
- Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Additional Duties
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
