Job description

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, execution, and monitoring of HVAC systems to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with technical specifications and engineering standards. Your role will involve contributing to the achievement of project objectives through high-quality execution while adhering to budget and timeline constraints.

Key responsibilities include preparing engineering designs for HVAC systems, performing heat load calculations, reviewing project plans and specifications, overseeing installation and operation, and ensuring compliance with Saudi building codes and ASHRAE and SMACNA standards.

You will also coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and consultants, prepare bills of quantities (BOQ), and ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets. Regular reporting on project progress and addressing technical issues will be essential to your role.

Additionally, you will implement maintenance programs for HVAC systems, ensure compliance with safety standards during execution, and provide training and guidance to junior engineers.

Skills

Preparation of engineering designs for HVAC systems using specialized design software (e.g., AutoCAD and Revit MEP).

Conducting heat load calculations and selecting appropriate equipment.

Reviewing project plans and specifications for compliance with Saudi building codes and ASHRAE and SMACNA standards.

Overseeing installation and operation of HVAC systems on-site.

Preparing bills of quantities (BOQ) and technical specifications.

Monitoring project progress and ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets.

Preparing regular technical reports on project progress and addressing technical issues.

Coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and consultants.

Implementing preventive and periodic maintenance programs for HVAC systems.

Ensuring compliance with safety standards during execution and operation.

Training and guiding junior engineers and monitoring their performance on-site.
