Senior Mechanical Procurement Engineer -ksa

Job Summary

A highly motivated and detailoriented Senior Mechanical Procurement Engineer is required to support procurement operations for major construction projects in Riyadh Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process of mechanical systems and materials ensuring the best value in terms of quality cost and delivery timelines while maintaining compliance with project specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review project specifications mechanical drawings and BOQs to identify procurement requirements.
  
• Source and evaluate suppliers and manufacturers for mechanical systems and equipment (e.g. HVAC plumbing firefighting pumps valves etc..
  
• Prepare and issue RFQs analyze bids and conduct technical and commercial evaluations.
  
• Negotiate pricing payment terms delivery schedules and contractual conditions with vendors.
  
• Coordinate with engineering and construction teams to align procurement activities with project milestones.
  
• Ensure the timely delivery of materials and equipment to site minimizing delays and disruptions.
  
• Verify that all procured items meet project quality and technical specifications.
  
• Maintain accurate procurement documentation including purchase orders submittals and approvals.
  
• Monitor vendor performance and manage supplier relationships.
  
• Ensure adherence to internal procurement policies and contribute to process optimization.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  
• 7 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical procurement within the construction or engineering industry.
  
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and materials used in largescale MEP projects.
  
• Familiarity with international standards (ASHRAE SMACNA NFPA etc..
  
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
  
• Strong organizational and problemsolving abilities.
  
• Transferable Iqama is preferred (for candidates already in KSA).
  
• Fluency in English is required; Arabic is a plus.
