About the Role

ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Al-Jubail is seeking a Supervisor Utilities & Cranes Maintenance to join their team in Al Jubail, Eastern region. This full-time role is critical for ensuring the safe, compliant, and reliable supply of essential services to manufacturing operations. The supervisor will lead the operation and maintenance of utilities, cranes, and instrumentation, requiring 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Role Overview

The Supervisor, Utilities & Cranes Maintenance is responsible for allocating manpower and equipment, enforcing statutory and safety standards, monitoring operational parameters, and directing first-line troubleshooting and coordinated maintenance activities. This position tracks performance indicators, maintains audit-ready documentation, balances capacity with production demands, and drives energy optimization and continuous improvement to protect asset integrity and operational continuity.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end utilities, crane, and instrumentation operations and maintenance, ensuring safe and reliable performance of critical plant systems such as air compressors, cooling towers, pumps, water treatment systems, and various cranes.
• Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, environmental, OSHA, and statutory regulations by enforcing permit-to-work systems, lockout-tagout procedures, and safe operating standards.
• Allocate operators, maintenance personnel, field attendants, and contractors based on production demands, competence, availability, and risk assessments.
• Supervise safe execution of work by verifying isolations, energy-release controls, barricading, certifications, and adherence to approved procedures.
• Monitor equipment parameters, proactively adjusting operations to prevent trips, protect assets, and sustain production requirements.
• Balance utilities capacity against production plans by coordinating minor outages, preventive maintenance, and load adjustments.
• Lead first-line troubleshooting of abnormalities, guiding structured diagnostics, stabilizing systems, and escalating complex failures as required.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance, ensuring work orders are properly created, executed, documented, and closed within SAP for audit readiness.
• Track shift-level performance indicators, initiating corrective actions for efficiency and reliability improvement.
• Conduct routine safety inspections, toolbox talks, and area audits to identify hazards and reinforce a culture of safety.
• Maintain accurate operational and maintenance logs, inspection records, and compliance documentation.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams to align activities with manufacturing schedules.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance for systems including combustion tuning, compressor control optimization, and crane performance troubleshooting.
• Drive continuous improvement and energy optimization initiatives by identifying consumption trends and standardizing best practices.
• Train and guide junior operators and contract personnel on operating practices, safety requirements, and emergency response procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in utilities operation and maintenance, crane maintenance, and instrumentation maintenance.
• Demonstrated leadership in managing maintenance teams and operations.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, environmental, OSHA, and statutory regulations.
• Proficiency in monitoring equipment parameters and performing first-line troubleshooting.
• Experience with SAP for work order management and reliability tracking.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Al Jubail, requiring active involvement in managing critical plant operations and maintenance activities within a manufacturing environment.
