About the Role
Le Meridien is seeking a Dir-Revenue Management-Cluster to join their team. This full-time position is responsible for balancing the financial objectives of various lodging products to maximize total revenues across all hotels within the market. The role involves overseeing pricing, positioning, and inventory, as well as managing processes related to demand, revenue, inventory, forecasting, and opportunity analysis. The successful candidate will contribute to and recommend sales strategies for transient customer pricing and maintain productive relationships with all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify underlying principles and facts by breaking down information or data into separate parts.
- Generate and provide accurate and timely reports and presentations.
- Analyze information to identify current and potential problems and propose solutions.
- Submit reports in a timely manner, ensuring delivery deadlines are met.
- Maintain accurate reservation system information and provide support for cluster selling initiatives.
- Analyze period-end and other available systems data to identify trends, future need periods, and obstacles.
- Generate updates on the transient segment and continuously analyze transient booking patterns.
- Assist with pricing analyses for all products in the market and validate conclusions from account diagnostics.
Revenue Management Strategy and Execution
- Contribute to the execution of predetermined revenue strategies.
- Provide revenue management functional expertise and leadership to general managers, property leadership teams, and market sales leaders.
- Offer critical input to market leaders for the development of property and overall market sales strategy.
- Ensure hotel strategies conform to brand philosophies and initiatives.
- Communicate, implement, and modify sales strategies and rate restrictions as market conditions fluctuate.
- Prepare sales strategy meeting agendas, supporting documentation, and lead property and/or cluster meetings.
- Conduct sales strategy analysis and refine as appropriate to increase market share for all properties.
- Assist with the development of 6-month, 12-month, and 2-year strategic action plans for managing cluster transient revenues.
- Manage inventory to maximize cluster rooms revenue and provide input on business evaluation recommendations.
- Provide recommendations to properties for Business Transient Sales account strategies.
- Lead efforts to coordinate strategies between group sales offices.
- Regularly check distribution channels for hotel positioning, information accuracy, and competitor positioning.
- Ensure property diagnostic processes (PDP) are used to maximize revenue and profits.
- Initiate, implement, and evaluate revenue tests, providing recommendations to improve the effectiveness of revenue management processes.
- Communicate brand initiatives, demand, and market analysis to hotels/clusters/franchise partners/owners, and market direction to revenue management, sales, and hotel leaders.
Stakeholder Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including hotel General Managers, sales leaders, franchisees, owners, and the regional team.
- Provide targeted and timely communication of results, achievements, and challenges to stakeholders.
Additional Duties
- Inform and/or update executives, peers, and subordinates on relevant information in a timely manner.
- Enter, transcribe, record, store, or maintain information in written or electronic form.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates should possess 0-1 years of relevant experience. This role requires a professional who can effectively balance financial objectives and manage complex revenue strategies within a dynamic hospitality environment.
