Job Title: Digital & Strategy Consultant - Digital Payments

PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT

We are seeking an experienced Digital & Strategy Consultants to support its Digital & Strategy team on a focused 3-month engagement. The consultants will contribute to digital transformation and business strategy initiatives, bringing structured problem-solving, strong financial-services knowledge, and practical experience across customer journeys, digital channels, and experience design.

Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Support the Digital & Strategy team in delivering digital transformation and business strategy engagements.
• Conduct structured analysis of business challenges, customer needs, market dynamics, and strategic opportunities.
• Assess and redesign customer journeys across relevant products, services, and digital channels.
• Contribute to experience-design initiatives by identifying customer pain points, improvement opportunities, and target-state experiences.
• Develop clear strategic recommendations supported by quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Build robust Excel models, analyses, and trackers to support decision-making and project delivery.
• Create executive-ready presentations that communicate findings, options, recommendations, and implementation priorities.
• Work closely with business, product, digital, operations and other relevant stakeholders to gather input and validate recommendations.
• Support workshops, working sessions and stakeholder discussions, including preparation of materials and documentation of outcomes.
• Manage assigned workstreams, track actions and deliver high-quality outputs within the engagement timeline.
• Bring relevant financial-services perspectives, benchmarks, and practical consulting approaches to the project.

Desired Candidate Profile

Knowledge and Experience:

• 5-8 years of professional experience, including experience with a Big 4 or Tier 2 consulting firm.
• Proven delivery experience across digital transformation and business strategy engagements.
• Strong understanding of customer journeys, digital channels, and experience design.
• Prior experience in financial services is essential.
• Exposure to SME banking, retail banking or digital banking is strongly preferred.
• Experience developing analytical outputs, strategic recommendations, and senior-management presentations.
• Strong problem-solving and structured-thinking skills, with the ability to break down complex business questions.
• Advanced working capability in Microsoft Excel for analysis, modelling, and data-driven decision support.
• Strong presentation-development skills, with the ability to produce concise and visually clear executive materials.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• High attention to detail, quality, and consistency.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities and deliver in a fast-paced consulting environment.
• Collaborative mindset with strong ownership and follow-through.

Mandatory Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• Previous experience within Banking, Digital Payment & Card solutions, or the FinTech industry.
• Regional experience, including working in a faced-paced matrix organisation.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written, verbal, and presentation); Arabic preferred.

Preferred Skills:

• The ability to analyse data, troubleshoot payment issues, optimize processes, and make data-driven decisions.
• Good understanding of payment systems, digital platforms, system workflows, security basics, and industry technologies.
• An understanding of regional regulations across financial services or payment networks.
