R&D Specialiste

Job Purpose:

1. The function is to ensure the development, implementation and optimization of LHC and Beauty care products for Algeria

2. Manage the Technical documents related to the new products.

3. Manage all the trials related to new launches, relaunches, and maintenance projects.

4. Check the technical feasibility with respecting the good manufacturing practice, norms of quality, hygiene & security.

5. Steer and lead the PSRA topics related to Maghreb countries.

6. Ensure a good follow up of Henkel processes.

Main Task :

• Develop and optimize new formulas in compliance with Henkel specifications.

• Contribute actively in the NPI process and stick to Stellar changes in terms of 1-3 years innovations.

• Manage Hint projects and stick to execution timelines

• Manage all the technical documents before, during and after the launch.

• Ensure the technical feasibility of any new product by taking into consideration different aspects such as formula/ processing / cost / Raw materials PIPO etc.

• Update the production MIS file with the approved sequence tested during PT and the accurate dosage of each RM and for every mixer.

• Update the MOC document before every change in formulation and lead the change with other stakeholders (R&D changes).

• Support in the approval of new RM sources (localized or not) through ASSD process, trials, qualification, and post launch monitoring.

• Approval of Artworks (labels and outers) on SEAL and ensure physical checks as well.

• Run competitor watch analysis in light with marketing vision from competitor landscape.

• Support the teams (generally production or QC) in case of non-conformity of a product post launch or any issues related to mixing or preparation.

• Ensure formula preparation for HUT/ OPR or sniff tests + samples preparation supervision (done by the agency or QC team but supervised by R&D)

• Marketing and legal support and guidance for claims/ TVC adaptation or any external communication related to the efficiency of formulation.

Additional:

• Run audits (when necessary) in order to enhance a process and ensure full compliance.

• Gain coordination in Algeria and close follow up with Design team on the progress.

• Support locally in case of regulations issues (import authorization, issues with customs on some RMs, meeting with APROFAD) and in product registration if needed.

• Brainstorming and workshop sessions with Marketing.
