We’re looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure & Operations Manager to oversee the reliable, secure and efficient delivery of technology services across the country.

You’ll manage core infrastructure, workplace technology, service operations and key suppliers, ensuring colleagues have the platforms and support they need to work effectively. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical knowledge, sound operational judgement and the confidence to lead stakeholders through incidents and service improvements.

What you’ll do

• Manage core infrastructure platforms, including networks, servers, storage and data centres, to maintain high availability, resilience and performance.
• Oversee enterprise networking services, including LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, DNS/DHCP, firewalls and related connectivity.
• Manage telecommunications and collaboration services, including SIP, VoIP and workplace collaboration tools.
• Maintain accurate IT asset and equipment records, ensuring IT stock is tracked, controlled and available when required.
• Coordinate printer services, working with global suppliers and local vendors to resolve issues and maintain service quality.
• Manage the deployment, replacement and upgrade of employee workstations, ensuring devices remain current, secure and fit for purpose.
• Support applications used by colleagues, working closely with the Helpdesk and relevant technology teams.
• Ensure incidents are appropriately owned, resolved, documented and reported, with lessons learned captured where appropriate.
• Administer and support clearing systems in line with operational, security and control requirements.
• Manage technology vendors and contracts, including telecoms carriers, managed service providers, licensing and procurement partners.
• Monitor supplier performance, lead service reviews and ensure contractual commitments and service levels are met.
• Contribute to operational resilience, service improvement and effective risk and control management.
• Act as an incident leader when required, coordinating technical teams, stakeholders and suppliers through to resolution.
  

What you’ll bring

• Practical experience in IT infrastructure and service operations, ideally within a complex, regulated or multinational organisation.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise networking, including LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, DNS/DHCP and firewalls.
• Experience with telecommunications and collaboration technologies, including SIP and VoIP.
• Knowledge of workstation lifecycle management, IT asset management and end-user technology support.
• Experience managing printers, hardware suppliers and local service vendors.
• Demonstrable vendor, contract, licensing and procurement management experience.
• A practical understanding of ITIL and service management principles.
• Experience managing incidents, coordinating resolution and producing accurate service reporting.
• Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills, with the confidence to work across technical and business teams.
• The ability to prioritise effectively, remain calm under pressure and get issues resolved at pace.
• Experience supporting or administering clearing systems would be advantageous.
