Job Summary

Assessment & Diagnosis: Conduct initial consultations and evaluate clients mental health to determine or diagnose conditions.

Treatment Planning: Develop tailored treatment goals and interventions based on clinical evaluations.

Counseling Sessions: Lead one-on-one group family or couples therapy sessions.

Progress Tracking: Regularly monitor patient progress adjusting coping skills and treatment approaches as needed.

Crisis Intervention: Intervene with emergency care techniques and protocols for patients in acute distress.

Documentation: Maintain detailed strictly confidential records of client sessions and interactions.

Requirements

Education: Typically requires a Masters or Doctoral degree in psychology counseling social work or a related field.

Licensure: Must hold a valid state-regulated license or certification to practice (e.g. LMFT LCSW LPC or licensed psychologist).
