Role Description The Mechanical Design Draftsman is a full-time, on-site role based in 10th of Ramadan City. The individual will prepare detailed mechanical drawings and 2D/3D models for automotive components and assemblies, following engineering specifications and industry standards. Day-to-day tasks include translating design concepts into technical drawings, updating and revising drawings based on feedback, and coordinating with engineers and production teams to ensure manufacturability and accuracy. The role involves maintaining drawing documentation, adhering to quality and safety requirements, and supporting continuous improvement in design processes. The Mechanical Design Draftsman will also help resolve design-related issues during prototyping and production. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Technical Drawing and general Drawing for mechanical components and assemblies. Candidates should possess solid skills in Engineering Drawings, including interpreting and creating detailed mechanical and fabrication drawings. Candidates should possess relevant experience with Architectural Drawings where layout and spatial understanding support vehicle and facility-related designs. Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 2D drafting and 3D modeling. Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a closely related field. Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, tolerances, and standards relevant to automotive products. Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work accurately under time constraints. Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams on-site. Prior experience in automotive or heavy vehicle design is an advantage.
