Lead Electrical Engineer – Building Services

Location: New Cairo, Egypt

Hire Pals is currently partnering with a highly regarded multidisciplinary design consultancy to hire a Lead Electrical Engineer to support the delivery of complex building projects and lead electrical design activities across multiple project stages.

The role will suit an experienced electrical design professional who is comfortable taking ownership of technical delivery, coordinating with multiple disciplines, engaging with clients and guiding more junior members of the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design activities from early design stages through to final project delivery.
• Coordinate electrical requirements with architectural, mechanical, structural and other engineering disciplines.
• Review designs, drawings and technical documentation to maintain quality and consistency.
• Act as a key technical contact for clients and project stakeholders.
• Support project planning, resource allocation and delivery schedules.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant local authority requirements, industry codes and project standards.
• Support BIM-led project delivery and effective coordination between disciplines.
• Participate in technical and multidisciplinary design reviews.
• Identify and resolve design issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and other team members.
• Contribute to improving design processes, technical standards and team working practices.
• Provide technical support to project and site teams when required.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong background in electrical design within the building services sector.
• Experience delivering multidisciplinary building projects within a design or consultancy environment.
• Ability to lead electrical design activities and coordinate effectively with other engineering disciplines.
• Strong understanding of applicable electrical codes, regulations and authority requirements.
• Experience working directly with clients and project stakeholders.
• Good understanding of project scope, design risks and technical interfaces.
• Ability to review technical work and mentor junior team members.
• Knowledge of sustainable design and Health & Safety principles.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and DIALux; experience with other BIM and design review platforms would be advantageous.
