Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Software Tester to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software applications. You will be responsible for identifying defects, conducting rigorous testing protocols, and collaborating closely with developers to deliver seamless user experiences. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and non-functional requirements.
• Perform various types of testing, including functional, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Identify, document, and track software defects using industry-standard bug-tracking tools, providing clear steps to reproduce issues.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with software developers, product managers, and UI/UX designers to resolve issues and improve product quality.
• Participate in design and requirement reviews to provide input on testability and edge-case scenarios.
• Monitor and report on testing progress, metrics, and quality status to stakeholders.
• Support the continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines by automating repetitive testing tasks.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance and testing.
• Proven ability to analyze complex system requirements and translate them into effective test strategies.
• Proficiency in identifying, isolating, and reporting software defects within an Agile development environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing life cycle (STLC).
• Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or similar).
• Proficiency in writing SQL queries for database verification.
• Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman or RestAssured.
• Experience with bug tracking and project management software such as Jira or Confluence.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
