Main Job Responsibilities – Occupational Health and Safety Technician: 1. Follow up on the implementation of occupational health and safety instructions and procedures within work sites. 2. Conduct periodic inspection tours of workplaces, equipment, and production lines to identify hazards. 3. Ensure employees' compliance with using personal protective equipment (PPE). 4. Monitor the validity and safety of firefighting equipment and ensure its readiness. 5. Identify violations and unsafe practices, report them to responsible personnel, and follow up on their correction. 6. Participate in investigating accidents and work injuries and prepare necessary reports. 7. Follow up on the implementation of emergency and evacuation procedures and ensure emergency exits are clear. 8. Raise worker awareness of safety procedures and proper handling of hazards. 9. Monitor maintenance work and ensure it is carried out according to safety requirements. 10. Record and track safety observations, accidents, and injuries, and submit periodic reports. 11. Ensure compliance with safety requirements during contractor and visitor activities on site. 12. Participate in emergency and evacuation drills and firefighting plans. 13. Monitor compliance with occupational health and safety requirements, laws, and instructions. 14. Propose preventive measures to reduce accidents and injuries and improve the work environment. 15. Perform any other tasks related to occupational health and safety as directed by the direct supervisor. Educational Qualification: Suitable intermediate or post-secondary qualification, preferably an industrial diploma or technical qualification. Experience: 2 to 5 years in occupational health and safety, preferably in food factories. Courses and Certifications: Courses in occupational health and safety, firefighting, and first aid. Knowledge: Knowledge of risk assessment basics, emergency procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE). Skills: Keen observation, reporting, follow-up, and good communication with workers. Work Ability: Ability to work in a factory environment and conduct field inspection tours. Language: Good Arabic, basic level of English is preferred. Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
