Job Description:

Job Summary**
The Technical Office Engineer at Hitachi Rail GTS Egypt LLC will be responsible for providing technical support and coordination for railway signaling and telecommunication projects. This role involves assisting in the preparation of technical documentation, managing project data, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
Job Responsibilities**
* Assist in the preparation and review of technical drawings, specifications, and other project documentation.
* Support the project team in the development of engineering designs and solutions.
* Manage and organize project documentation, including design changes, submittals, and approvals.
* Collaborate with various departments (e.g., engineering, project management, construction) to ensure seamless project execution.
* Conduct technical reviews of contractor submittals and ensure adherence to project requirements and standards.
* Participate in site visits and inspections to monitor progress and resolve technical issues.
* Prepare reports and presentations on project status, technical challenges, and proposed solutions.
* Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
* Support the tendering process by assisting with technical evaluations and proposal preparation.
* Maintain accurate records of all technical communications and decisions.
Job Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
* 1-3 years of experience in a technical office role, preferably within the railway, infrastructure, or construction sectors.
* Strong understanding of railway signaling and telecommunication systems is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and other relevant engineering software.
* Excellent technical writing and communication skills in English.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Problem-solving attitude and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
* Knowledge of relevant international and local engineering standards.
