Role Description The English Placement Tester role is a full-time, on-site position based in Cairo. The person in this role will administer and evaluate English placement tests for learners, ensuring accurate assessment of language proficiency levels. Day-to-day tasks include supervising test sessions, explaining test procedures, scoring tests, and recording results in accordance with established guidelines. The role also involves preparing test materials, maintaining testing records, and providing clear feedback or recommendations on appropriate course placement. Collaboration with academic staff to refine testing processes and uphold quality standards is an important part of the position.
Qualifications

• Strong command of English language skills, including grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and writing.
• Experience in language assessment, testing procedures, or educational evaluation.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in scoring, documentation, and record-keeping.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with learners and academic staff.
• Ability to follow standardized testing protocols and maintain confidentiality of learner information.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field is preferred.
• Prior experience in teaching, tutoring, or working in an educational institution is an advantage.
• Strong organizational skills and reliability in managing schedules and test sessions.
