Role Description The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing the school’s technology infrastructure and ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient IT operations. This full-time, on-site role is based in Cairo and includes managing networks, servers, and hardware, as well as supervising system performance, backups, and data security. The IT Manager will coordinate and support classroom technologies, software applications, and user accounts for staff and students, providing timely technical assistance and training when needed. The role also involves planning and implementing IT projects, maintaining licenses and vendor relationships, establishing IT policies and procedures, and contributing to strategic planning to align technology with the school’s educational goals.
Qualifications

• Strong skills in IT infrastructure management, including networks, servers, and hardware, with experience in troubleshooting and performance optimization.
• Proficiency in system administration and security, including user account management, data backup, access control, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Experience supporting educational technologies and software platforms, preferably in a school or academic environment.
• Ability to manage IT projects, plan upgrades, coordinate with vendors, and maintain inventory and licensing.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to support and train non-technical users.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; relevant professional certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) are an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to work on-site in a school setting in Cairo and to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
