Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Section Head – GL & Reporting to lead general ledger activities, ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain compliance with applicable accounting standards and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records and accounting transactions.
• Review and oversee journal entries, accruals, prepayments, provisions, and reclassifications.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal financial policies.
• Monitor balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies to ensure timely resolution.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and support audit requirements.
• Develop and improve accounting procedures, internal controls, and reporting processes.
• Lead, coach, and supervise the accounting team to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities when required.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration.
• Professional certification such as CMA, IFRS Diploma, or equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in EPC, construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, utilities, or project-based industries.
• At least 3–5 years in a supervisory or managerial accounting / GL / reporting role.
• Good understanding of project accounting, POC, WIP, unbilled revenue, cost accruals, retention, and project-related reporting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Egyptian Accounting Standards and/or IFRS.
• Strong experience in external audit coordination, audit schedules, supporting documents, and closing deliverables.
• ERP experience is required; Oracle Fusion experience is preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and reporting skills are required.
• Power BI experience is preferred for developing GL, closing, reconciliation, financial reporting, and management dashboards.
• Strong analytical skills, accuracy, attention to detail, control mindset, and ability to challenge data quality.
• Strong people management, coaching, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Very good command of English.
