Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to join our dynamic engineering team in Cairo. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the highest standards of software quality by designing, developing, and executing robust testing strategies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to identify potential risks and maintain the integrity of our software solutions throughout the entire development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and technical specifications.
• Conduct thorough functional, regression, integration, and performance testing to ensure product stability and reliability.
• Identify, document, and track software defects, working closely with the development team to facilitate timely resolutions.
• Automate testing processes where applicable to increase efficiency and coverage.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality and maintainability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define quality metrics and ensure deliverables align with business objectives.
• Act as a quality advocate within the team, promoting best practices in testing and software development.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven track record of success in software testing with 3 to 7 years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with both manual and automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JMeter, or Postman).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Fluency in English is essential for cross-departmental coordination.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of SQL and database management for backend validation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git.
• Knowledge of API testing and web services architecture.
• Strong grasp of bug tracking systems like Jira or Bugzilla.
