Role Description The Legal Researcher is a full-time, on-site role based in Alexandria. In this position, the Legal Researcher conducts in-depth research on statutes, case law, regulations, and secondary sources to support legal matters and internal projects. Responsibilities include analyzing legal issues, preparing clear and concise research memoranda, drafting and organizing legal documents, and summarizing findings for attorneys and other stakeholders. The role also involves maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant legal developments, managing research databases and records, and communicating findings in a structured, professional manner. Collaboration with colleagues and adherence to confidentiality and ethical obligations are essential aspects of the day-to-day work.
Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Law and familiarity with statutes, case law, and legal procedures.
• Excellent Research and Analytical Skills for reviewing complex legal sources and drawing logical conclusions.
• Experience with Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, formatting, and organizing legal materials.
• Clear and professional Communication skills, both written and verbal, for presenting legal findings to diverse audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field; advanced legal education or paralegal certification is an advantage.
• Proficiency with legal research tools and databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis, or similar platforms).
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple assignments with tight deadlines.
• Commitment to ethical standards, confidentiality, and professional conduct in handling sensitive information.
