D.DESIGN Interiors is looking for an experienced and technically strong Head of Design & Technical to lead our Interior Design and Technical Office departments, ensuring exceptional design quality, accurate technical deliverables, and efficient team performance.

The Role

The Head of Design & Technical

will lead both design production tracks:• Interior Design: Concept development, mood boards, material selection, space planning, and 3D visualization.• Technical Office: Working drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and technical coordination with Execution, FF&E, and Procurement.

Key Responsibilities• Lead design direction and ensure high-quality concept development and 3D visualization.• Review, evaluate, and technically improve design presentations and renders.• Ensure

the accuracy and completeness of working drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications.•Coordinate technical requirements and BOQ inputs with Execution, FF&E, and Procurement.• Lead, develop, and evaluate designers and technical engineers.• Manage department capacity, workload distribution, and project priorities.• Improve design quality, reduce revisions and rework, and strengthen production standards.• Introduce and support the adoption of Revit/BIM and improved department processes.• Monitor departmental KPIs and issue weekly and monthly performance reports. Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in interior design and technical office work within the fit-out or finishing industry.

• 5+ years of experience leading a design team covering BOTH Concept/3D and Technical Office/2D.

• Previous experience managing at least 6 designers and/or technical engineers.

• Strong expertise in concept development, space planning, material selection, and 3D visualization.

• Excellent knowledge of working drawings, shop drawings, technical specifications, and BOQ coordination.

• Working knowledge of Revit and the ability to support its implementation within a team.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max with V-Ray or Corona, and Adobe tools.

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Design.

• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Experience in fit out and finishing projects is mandatory.

• Concept design and 3D visualization projects personally led or supervised.

• Working drawings and shop drawings — renders alone will NOT be accepted.
