Mobile App Developer

Reports To: Mobile App Dev Team

Requirements Analysis & Problem-Solving Skills:

• Review project requirements for completeness and feasibility.
• Address any incomplete or challenging requirements.
• Provide practical solutions and accurate timelines.

Programming Skills:

• Demonstrate strong programming skills.
• Implement logical solutions for various programming challenges.
• Adapt to new programming languages/methodologies swiftly.

Software Engineering Skills:

• Proficiency in basic data structures, design patterns, sorting, and searching algorithms.
• Design database tables and execute CRUD operations, including local storage on mobile.
• Experience with Git workflows: branching, pull requests, code reviews, and resolving conflicts.
• Utilize debugging techniques and tools effectively to identify and resolve bugs.
• Write automated tests (unit, widget, integration) and perform thorough testing of code before submission to QA.
• Document and update complex code and data structures.
• Experience with CI/CD for mobile apps is a plus.

Mobile Platform Knowledge:

• Proficiency in Dart and the cross-platform mobile app development framework Flutter.
• Proficiency in building RTL-optimized UIs and localizing apps for Arabic and English.
• Strong understanding of mobile app security best practices.
• Proficiency in state management and structuring scalable Flutter codebases.
• Proficiency in integration of notification, logging, and analytics services/frameworks.
• Good knowledge of the iOS and Android platforms.
• Experience with platform channels and native Android (Kotlin) or iOS (Swift) development is a plus.
• Experience with deployed Flutter web apps is a plus.
• Proactively update Mobile Apps before the release of new Mobile OS versions.
• Familiarity with the publishing cycle of Mobile Apps on platforms such as App Store and Play Store.

Technology Knowledge:

• Understanding of communication protocols such as HTTP/REST and WebSockets, and client-server interaction.
• Backend development experience in JavaScript (PocketBase) and/or C# (.NET Core) is a plus.

General Requirements:

• 3–5 years of experience
• Strong communication skills.
• Promptly communicate with seniors when encountering prolonged programming/engineering issues.
• Willingness to learn new skills and technologies to ensure quality work and timely deliverables.
