Job description
Role Summary
Every acquisition the group makes runs through you from a financial systems standpoint. As Financial Systems & Integrations Lead, you will own how newly acquired companies join our centralized Oracle NetSuite platform and how the tools around it fit together. This is a build-and-own role: you run complete projects from discovery to post-go-live, with real autonomy and direct access to the Group Head of Finance.
You will lead three things. Migrating legacy ERPs into the group-standard NetSuite environment. Designing and building the API integrations that connect NetSuite to CRM, billing, payments, banking, payroll and planning tools. And continuously improving our finance systems, including putting AI to work in real finance workflows.
You will be the group's go-to person for financial systems. Finance teams rely on you to get them live, keep them running and make their work easier every quarter.
Success means each acquired company closes its books in NetSuite on the group calendar, with clean data, automated integrations and less manual work than before it joined.
Key Responsibilities
ERP migration and onboarding
- Lead end-to-end migration projects for newly acquired companies, from discovery through post-go-live support.
- Run discovery sessions to map current-state processes, systems and data flows, and design the future state in NetSuite.
- Migrate chart of accounts, vendors, customers, open transactions and balances from legacy ERPs into NetSuite, with documented reconciliations.
- Configure and deploy core NetSuite modules (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, bank reconciliation, intercompany).
- Create and manage project plans, timelines, risks and deliverables to deliver on time and to standard.
API integrations to NetSuite
- Lead the design, build, testing and deployment of API integrations between NetSuite and connected systems (e.g., Salesforce, billing and subscription platforms, payment processors, banks, payroll, expense tools, Oracle EPM).
- Assess each acquired company's tool stack and decide per tool: integrate, migrate to a group-standard tool, or retire.
- Write integration specifications: data objects, field mappings, sync frequency, error handling and ownership.
- Run testing with finance users (unit, end-to-end, parallel runs) and sign off that integrated data reconciles to source before go-live.
- Monitor live integrations, resolve sync failures, and own a register of all integrations with their owners, dependencies and support runbooks.
- Build reusable integration templates for common tools so each new acquisition connects faster than the last.
Process, stakeholders and governance
- Standardize financial processes across acquired entities to match group policies and reporting standards.
- Own go-live readiness for each acquired finance team: training, cutover plans and readiness sign-off. Support them through the first month-end closes until they are fully migrated and operating independently in NetSuite.
- Act as the group's primary point of contact for financial systems, serving acquired-company finance teams, group finance, internal technical resources and leadership.
- Present regular updates and recommendations to the Group Head of Finance and Finance teams.
- Document configurations, integration designs, process flows and migration procedures for knowledge transfer and audit.
- Refine deployment methodologies and onboarding playbooks to improve speed and scalability.
Continuous improvement and AI
- Proactively find, recommend and deliver enhancements to NetSuite and the other financial systems the team uses, with a clear business case for each.
- Keep a prioritized enhancement roadmap, agreed with the Group Head of Finance, and track the time saved or controls improved.
- Identify where AI can remove manual work in finance workflows (e.g., invoice capture, reconciliations, variance commentary, close checklists) and lead its integration with appropriate controls.
- Stay current on NetSuite releases and finance technology, and recommend what the group should adopt.
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems or a related field.
- 4+ years in ERP migration, financial systems implementation or post-merger integration.
- Hands-on Oracle NetSuite experience (or equivalent ERP), including configuration and data migration.
- Proven experience delivering API integrations to an ERP: writing specs, field mapping, testing and supporting them in production.
- Strong grasp of finance processes: multi-entity, multi-currency, intercompany, consolidation and reporting.
- Proven ability to run complex projects independently and explain technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong assets
- Experience integrating AI into finance or business workflows (e.g., AI-assisted reconciliations, document capture, automated reporting); this is a significant advantage.
- CPA or equivalent designation.
- NetSuite experience.
- Exposure to Salesforce, subscription billing, payment processing or Oracle EPM integrations.
- NetSuite certification (e.g., SuiteFoundation, ERP Consultant).
