Role Description The Ecommerce Accountant role at Trimize is a full-time, on-site position based in Alexandria, Egypt. The individual in this role will manage day-to-day accounting activities related to online sales channels, including recording transactions, reconciling payment gateways and bank statements, and tracking receivables and payables. Responsibilities include preparing financial reports for e-commerce performance, monitoring inventory and cost of goods sold, and supporting budgeting and forecasting for digital marketing and operations. The role also involves ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and tax regulations, coordinating with external auditors when needed, and collaborating closely with operations, marketing, and customer service teams to maintain accurate financial data. The Ecommerce Accountant will contribute to improving financial processes and supporting data-driven decisions that help scale Trimize’s online business.

Qualifications

• Strong accounting fundamentals, including general ledger management, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Experience with e-commerce platforms, payment gateways, and online sales transaction flows.
• Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets (e.g., ERP systems, Excel, or similar tools).
• Knowledge of local tax laws, compliance requirements, and financial controls in Egypt.
• Analytical skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and support business decisions.
• Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications are a plus.
• Prior experience in an e-commerce or retail environment is highly beneficial.
