About the role

As restaurant chef at Bullona, you will plan, organize, control, and direct the work of kitchen employees responsible for outlet food preparation while ensuring superior quality and consistency.

What you will do

• Coordinate the selection, training, development, and evaluation of employees and managers in the kitchen through effective management and leadership, ensuring established cultural and core standards are met. Contribute to long-range strategic planning for outlet operations.
• Assist in planning and developing hotel menus, and ensure the correct preparation and consistent presentation of all food items through production and demonstration.
• Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory control.
• Establish control systems to ensure quality and portion consistency. Create appropriate purchasing specifications, monitor and review operating criteria, and promote awareness of the importance of food preparation and quality.
• Communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met. Attend regular operational meetings to support effective coordination and cooperation between departments.

What you bring

• A college degree, preferably specializing in hotel or restaurant management or culinary arts, or equivalent experience.
• Three to five years of previous experience in multiple culinary or food and beverage department head positions, specializing in Mediterranean Italian cuisine.
• Working knowledge of division operations.
• Ability to operate computer equipment and other food and beverage computer systems.
• Ability to operate and use culinary production equipment and tools.
• Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English.
