Overview
The Civil Engineer (Design & Infrastructure) is responsible for the development of civil engineering designs models and drawings for infrastructure and site development projects. The role focuses on delivering accurate 2D/3D designs supporting engineering calculations and ensuring alignment with project requirements and standards.
Your role
- Develop detailed civil engineering drawings plans and 3D models using AutoCAD Civil 3D MicroStation or OpenRoads
- Generate and analyze existing ground and subsurface surfaces using survey data
- Design site grading drainage systems and earthworks including volume calculations and quantity take-offs
- Prepare underground utilities and services layouts
- Interpret engineering concepts sketches and technical data to produce accurate design outputs
- Develop road alignments profiles and cross-sections for infrastructure projects
- Produce high-quality engineering drawings in accordance with project standards
- Support design coordination with civil engineers and multidisciplinary teams
- Ensure compliance with applicable engineering practices standards and procedures
- Assist in reviewing and refining design outputs to meet project objectives
About you
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (preferred) or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 5 years of experience in civil engineering design and drafting
- Strong experience in 2D and 3D design for: Site grading and earthworks Drainage systems Underground utilities Road and infrastructure design
- Proficiency in Civil 3D AutoCAD MicroStation InRoads or OpenRoads
- Ability to interpret survey data maps and engineering drawings
- Knowledge of civil engineering practices standards and design methodologies
- Experience in mining or industrial projects is an advantage
- Basic understanding of hydrology is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and fast-paced environment
