Planning & Controls Engineer

Job Summary

We are constantly growing and are currently looking for two (2) full of potential and reliable Planning & Controls Engineers to join our top qualified and knowledgeable team for two of our major projects in Egypt.

What you will need to do:

Planning & Scheduling

• Develop maintain and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
• Prepare baseline schedules work breakdown structures (WBS) resource-loaded schedules and recovery plans.
• Coordinate with project managers site engineers procurement teams and subcontractors to ensure schedule alignment.
• Analyze project activities critical paths float consumption and schedule risks.

Project Controls

• Monitor project progress against approved baselines and identify deviations.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports dashboards and performance indicators.
• Conduct earned value analysis (EVA) and productivity assessments.
• Track project milestones and recommend corrective actions to address delays.

Cost Control

• Monitor project costs commitments and budget performance.
• Assist in forecasting project costs cash flow requirements and resource utilization.
• Support the preparation of cost reports and variance analyses.
• Review subcontractor progress and support payment certification processes.

Risk & Change Management

• Identify schedule and cost risks and propose mitigation measures.
• Evaluate extension of time (EOT) claims and variations from a planning perspective.
• Support change management processes by assessing schedule and cost impacts.

Coordination & Reporting

• Attend project review meetings and provide schedule and performance updates.
• Coordinate with engineering procurement construction and commercial teams.
• Prepare executive-level reports and presentations for management and clients.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and project control standards.

What you will need to have:

• Bachelors degree in engineering (Civil Engineering is preferred) from an accredited university.
• 57 years of experience in planning and project controls within civil construction projects.
• Previous experience with civil construction contractors is essential.
• Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 Project Control Cost Control Risk Management Change Management Delay Analysis and Contract Administration.
• Experience in medium to large-scale construction projects.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 MS Office applications and AutoCAD.
• PMP PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional) or relevant certifications will be considered an advantage.
• Excellent command of English.
