PHP & CMS Developer – Role & Learning Scope

The role will focus on developing strong practical skills in PHP development, CMS platforms, e-commerce, server management, and website development.

Key Areas of Learning & Responsibility

• PHP Development

  • Learn PHP fundamentals and advanced concepts.

  • Apply Clean Code principles and coding best practices.

  • Build maintainable, scalable, and well-structured applications.

• CMS Development

  • Develop and manage websites using WordPress and Laravel.

  • Understand CMS architecture, themes, plugins, customization, and integrations.

  • Gain practical knowledge of CMS development and management.

• E-commerce

  • Understand e-commerce website structure and functionality.

  • Work with WooCommerce and other e-commerce solutions.

  • Learn product management, orders, payments, shipping, inventory, and integrations.

• Server & Hosting Management

  • Learn the fundamentals of working with web servers.

  • Use SSH for server access and management.

  • Gain experience with server control panels and dashboard management.

  • Understand basic server configuration, permissions, files, databases, domains, SSL, and deployments.

  • Learn essential troubleshooting and server maintenance.

• Frontend & Website Development

  • Understand how websites are structured from both the frontend and backend perspectives.

  • Work with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and backend technologies.

  • Learn how to convert website designs into functional websites.

Overall Goal

The objective is to develop a well-rounded PHP/CMS developer who can independently work across the full website development cycle — from understanding UI/UX designs and building the frontend to developing backend functionality, managing CMS platforms, handling e-commerce requirements, and performing basic server management through SSH and hosting control panels.
